How to get a PMID

PMID is the abbreviation for PubMed Identification. This is how you find the PMIDs of the articles you want to nominate for the Amedeo Prize 2008:

1. Search for an author, a title word or a journal, either in PubMed or below.

In our example, we search for an article by Mr. Staszewski about zidovudine. Important: Logical operators like "AND" or "OR" must be written in capital letters: staszewski AND zidovudine.

Search for:

2. If the search yields more than one article, the PMIDs are listed under the journal name.

3. If the search yields only one article (for example when searching for "staszewski AND n engl j med"), the PMID appears after the abstract at the end of the page.

Copy and paste the PMID.
